Community College - Miller Small Business Resource Center
The Miller Small Business Resource Center incorporates the
experience and knowledge of local business professionals,
community organizations and government entities to deliver
innovative services to interested small businesses and individuals

County Business and Employment Resource Center
The mission of BERC is to develop a highly effective workforce
for new and existing businesses, to assist individuals in
achieving employment and to encourage lifelong learning. The
Business & Employment Resource Center is an agency under
the Carroll County Department of Economic Development.

County Chamber of Commerce
The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce has more than 600
members. The Chamber provides opportunities for businesses
to meet potential clients and network with other business
leaders. Guest speakers, such as congressional leaders, are
featured to discuss legislative agendas and other items of
particular interest to the business community.

Department of Economic Development
The Carroll County Department of Economic Development provides
information and assistance on vital aspects of doing business
specifically in Carroll County. This includes information
on demographics, labor force, quality of life, regional/economy,

County's Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
Carroll County's SBDC is in partnership between the Small
Business Administration and the Carroll County Department
of Economic Development in Westminster. This partnership links
private enterprise, government, higher education and local
economic development organizations to provide management training
and technical assistance to Maryland small businesses. Certified
business counselors provide free counseling services to existing

The purpose of the HBA, a non-profit organization, is to
educate and improve the commercial and economic environment
of the Town of Hampstead and the immediate area by promoting
Hampstead as a trade and market area. The HBA supports all

service the consumer in our area while increasing the amount
of local purchasing.
South Carroll
Business Association (SCBA)
The South Carroll Business Association is a non-profit group
which provides a cooperative environment for South Carroll
Business and those companies and/or individuals doing business
in South Carroll; melds community and business through social
interaction; keeps the community and businesses aware of issues
directly affecting the South Carroll area; and works for the
beautification and fund raising for charitable purposes within
the South Carroll area.
